![]() ![]() ![]() Then all you have to do is place the envelope on top of your cardboard and line the tip or top of the envelope flap with the top of the cardboard, trace the flap and cut along your lines to create the perfect envelope liner template for any size envelope! You can test to make sure it is going to fit in your envelope with out blocking the adhesive on the flap. All you have to do is measure the size of you envelope and then cut the cardboard about 1/8″ shorter in width and 1/2″ shorter in height. You can purchase liner templates or you can make your own from a cereal box or similar packaging.Then I traced my lining template on to the back of my paper and cut it out with Exacto Blade (you could use scissors too!). So to line these envelopes I started with a plain A6 envelope and some scrapbooking paper that matched my theme. I also thought I would share a little step by step DIY tutorial on how to line an envelope! Recently, I got to design some invitations for a baby shower! I loved how they turned out and thought it would be a great finishing touch to line the envelopes with a patterned paper to go with the theme. Every now and then I will get to do something fun for friends and family. By day I still work as a graphic designer but, these days I don’t do much of it after hours.
